Mahama: Our Focus is on Reviving Ghana’s Economy

President-elect John Dramani Mahama has reiterated his commitment to revitalizing Ghana’s struggling economy, pledging to implement pragmatic policies to restore stability and growth. Speaking during an engagement with stakeholders, Mahama emphasized that rebuilding the economy is a top priority for his administration.

He acknowledged the economic challenges currently facing the nation, including high inflation, unemployment, and rising living costs. Mahama assured Ghanaians that his government would adopt innovative and inclusive strategies to address these issues and create opportunities for all. “We are looking to bring Ghana’s economy back up,” he stated, highlighting the need for bold reforms to reset the country on a path of sustainable development.

Mahama outlined plans to invest in key sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and technology to diversify the economy and create jobs. He also stressed the importance of empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as drivers of economic growth.
